Time: 10:30am PT / 1:30pm ET
Duration: 75 minutes

It is no longer sufficient to just capture static customer descriptions or to reactively manage customers. Businesses need to leverage information on historical preferences, real-time buying propensity and profitability ranking. They need a dynamic, accurate description of how customers interact and react to the company, its products and offers.

To respond to these requirements, organizations are re-examining how their enterprise data warehouse (EDW) collects and delivers information -- to become the platform for behavior analytics.

This adaptable EDW must gather millions of behavioral micro-events from web hits, mobile devices, direct mail, in-store offers and many other sources…then assemble these micro-events into meaningful sessions that can be analyzed in real time. The ability to capture and analyze customer behavior is crucial to communicate with customers in a value-added way.

In this webinar, Dr. Kimball will discuss how to extend the EDW to meet the challenges -- and opportunities -- posed by customer behavior, including:

  • Architectural considerations and strategies,
  • Methodologies and performance enhancement techniques,
  • Benefits of augmenting EDW, and
  • Analytics techniques

Following Dr. Kimball's session, Informatica will provide a presentation and demo featuring capabilities for running an adaptable EDW and MicroStrategy will discuss advanced analytics and data mining.
